Hebrews 2:
We must pay careful
attentions to what we have heard about the teachings of the gospel, which was
first confirmed by Jesus, then his followers, and God even testified by signs
and wonders, as well as spiritual gifts distributed by the Holy Spirit.
Even disobedience to words from angels lead to just punishment, so we must take
the word of the gospel seriously (King David testified about this).
God put everything under Jesus, even thought it appears it is not so, because he
suffered death for everyone in order to free all that have faith in the death
and resurrection of Jesus.
Hebrews 3:
Focus on Jesus always, whom
we confess. Jesus had higher honor than Moses (faith in Christ is superior to
the Jewish law). The Holy Spirit testified through King David in
Psalms that the Jews are a rebellious people under the Jewish law and that they
will never enter God's rest. Make sure you never turn away from God and
encourage each other to stay in the faith. In the time of Moses, those who
heard but refused to believe God were wasted in the desert. Destruction
and unrest in God comes to all those who hold on to the Jewish laws (human laws
and systems) and not the belief in God through the faith in Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 4:
Let us dedicate ourselves to
entering God's rest. Those without faith in God (not the Jewish law of
Moses) will never enter God's rest. God rested on the 7th day of
creation and prophesized through King David in Psalms that the disobedient or
faithless will never enter God's rest. So God has set aside another day of
rest for all to end their labor. Pray to reject the spirit of disobedience
and faithlessness in order to be in God's rest. God's word is living
and active. It is sharper than a double-edged sword as well as it
penetrates through spirit, soul, thoughts, and the heart to the extent that
nothing is hidden from the accountability to the God of creation.
Since Jesus the is high priest that have gone through the heavens, we must hold
on to him in faith because like us, he has been tempted, sinless, and can
represent us in all weaknesses. Let us approach God's throne of grace with
confidence to assist us in all our needs.
