Colossians 1:
Paul prays that we be filled
with the knowledge, understanding, and spiritual wisdom of God's will.
Please God in every way to bear fruits from good works and grow in God's
knowledge through patience, joy, and thanksgiving to God that qualifies us for
inheritance of God's kingdom. God has rescued us from darkness for the
kingdom of light through Jesus his son and by the forgiveness of sins. Jesus,
the image of the invisible God is supreme in all things among the living and the
dead. All rulers, authorities, powers, and throne were made for him, by
him, and he holds all things together as the head of the church, first born, and
beginning of all things. The mystery of God that was hidden from the
generation of this age, but was disclosed to the saints is that God has chosen
the Gentiles, and not only the Jews, to understand that we are all saved by
God's grace through the faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for
the forgiveness of sin and reconciliation back to God, the creator of all things.
We must labor to teach this to all people by the way we live.
Colossians 2:
In Jesus Christ is hidden all
the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Reject all deceptive reasoning that
are based solely on human traditions and worldly principles. Focus and
build your strength in Jesus Christ who is the head of all powers and
authorities. You have been circumcised in Christ through the burial of
baptism and the resurrection of the death through our faith in the power of God.
Jesus died for our sin, against human or Jewish laws, and against all powers
and authorities that oppose us. Do not let anyone judge you by what
eat or drink, what festivals you celebrate, or what holy days you recognize
because the reality is Jesus Christ. We died to Christ against the
principles of the word. We are no longer under the control of human or
Jewish laws because they will all perish. Human laws lack wisdom and
are self-imposed worship with a false sense of value. Hold on to God and
ignore the madness of the world.

Colossians 3:
Set your eyes on things above
where Jesus sits on the throne because we are dead to earthly things.
Those who use guns to control the world's resources want you to spend your time
looking and fighting for resources for survival instead of worshiping and
spending time with God. Those who spend time with God soon realize that they do
not need worldly resources to survive or to be happy - God provides daily bread.
It is the unnecessary control, search, and fight of resources, which actually
belongs to God, that leads to all forms of unhappiness and ill health - selfish
ambition. Our life is now hidden with Christ and we will appear with
him in glory. Since we are renewed human beings, we must put aside lies,
gossips, anger, slander, filthy talk, sexual immorality, lust impurity, and
IDOLATRY (greed for money as a man-made idol). Let us choose kindness, patience,
humility, compassion, and gentleness. Correct each other with wisdom and love as
well as sing hymns and spiritual songs of gratitude to God. Do and say
everything in Jesus' name. Husbands love your wives without harshness;
wives respect your husbands in submission; Children obey your parents because it
makes God happy; father do not embitter or discourage the children; and
employees should work as if they work for God and not their employers.
