Ezekiel 18:
God declared that every man
will die for his own sin or live for his own godliness. A son or a father
will not suffer for each other's sins. Some of the sins including eating
or hoping in idols, lying with another's wife or with a woman in her period, and
oppressing others or taking excessive interest. God does not care how you
began life, but rather, how you ended it. If you started in godliness and
ended in godlessness, you will die. If you started in godlessness and
ended in godliness, you will live. God takes no pleasure in our death, but
rather, God wants us to repent and live. |

Ezekiel 19:
God laments for Israel.
Israel was a lion that was feared by all, but the nations captured it and took
it to Egypt. Then the lioness (God) raised another lion that was strong
and roared loudly, but the nations captured it and took it to Babylon.
Israel is like a vine that promised good fruits because of abundant water, but
ended up being uprooted and planted in the desert to be consumed by fire.
Ezekiel 20:
Some
elders of Israel came to Ezekiel to inquire of God and God told the elder not to
inquire of God. God insisted that since their days as slave in Egypt, they
have rebelled against God, have not followed God's commands, and have worshipped
any and every other thing, but God. God was going to judge Israel and deal
with her to know who God is.
