Deuteronomy 4:

Obedience to God's word is extremely important to live and to be peacefully successful.  We should be lucky to have a God that is near us and give righteous laws for us to follow in order to have good health and longevity. Teach your descendants the ways of God as culture and heritage. Moses reminded the Jews that they heard God's voice through the fire and cloud, so God is real.  Idols are totally unacceptable to God as an image of worship, such as money and precious stones.  IDOLATRY is putting money (promotion, influence, raise, power, connections) above God's moralityIdolatry is to pretend not to know or stand for God's truth because of the need to make more money or fear of losing money. Moses blamed the Jews as the reason why God will not let him enter the promised land because of their disobedience and spirit of ingratitude towards God. Moses builds 3 cities of refuge where people who killed others accidentally could go to and be protected from vengeance.

Deuteronomy 5:

Moses reminds the Jews of the 10 Commandment. The first 4 and most important were for God and the last 6 were for humans.  They are to have no other gods before God.  They are to make no graven images (idols - money) with their hands to worship. The name of God should not be misused or abused meaninglessly.  The Sabbath day must be holy and kept away from any activity that makes money directly or indirectly. Give honor to your parents so that you live well and have longevity.  Do not kill humans, commit adultery, steal, bear false witness, and desire other peoples' possessions.  We are to follow these laws for God to increase us in longevity, success, health, and peace.

Deuteronomy 6:

God is one and love God with all your heart, soul, and might.  God expects us to teach God's laws to our children from our hearts, as well as discuss it in the house, in the car, and even at bedtimeSo you adequately raise your children in God's eyes ONLY when you regularly instruct them with God's laws - morality over money, fame, or power.  Do what is right by God and do not test God because God is jealous.  God loves to the the first and the only one.  If children want to know why God gave laws, we are to say it is to lift us up above bondage and bring us a prosperous and successful long life.

Deuteronomy 7:

God expected the Jews to drive out all the descendants and tribes of Canaan from the promised land before settling in it. These nations were larger and stronger, but God wanted them destroyed totally.  The Jews are to break down all their altar, not follow their gods, not marry them, make no agreement with them, and destroy them totallyGod was going to punish and blame the Jews if the people of the land are spared and the people lead them to idol worship.  If the Jews follow God's laws, God will make them more fruitful and prosperous than other nations, as well as multiply them greatly.  We should not be afraid of powerful evil oppressors because God will humble and destroy them with a mighty hand - even send hornets amongst them until they perish.
