Paul went to Jerusalem with Barnabas and Titus in response to a revelation and to present the gospel he was preaching to the Gentiles.  Some false prophets demanded the law of circumcision for the Gentiles as well, but we held on to the doctrine of faith to be saved rather than Jewish law for the Gentiles.  Even Titus, a Greek, was not circumcised to be saved in Jesus Christ.  Judeo-Christian doctrine and union is false to saved people in Christ because faith in Jesus Christ is solely by faith in the resurrection of the dead and not by Jewish law.  James (brother of Jesus Christ), Peter, and John accepted the grace of God in Paul and his task by God to minister to the Gentiles as Peter ministered to the Jews.  They demanded that Paul remembers the poor (fatherless, widows, immigrants, & elderly).  Paul opposed Peter because he began to draw away from the Gentiles when Jews from James came from Jerusalem.  Paul told Peter that it was wrong to force Jewish customs and laws on Gentiles because we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ and not by Jewish laws. 

Galatians 3:

You are saved by the Spirit of God through what you hear and believe, and not by following the law through human effort.  Abraham is credited to be faithful by God because he believed.  He is considered the man of faith and the father of all nations to be blessed because the nations believed and not because they followed some Jewish laws of Moses.  It is faith in God through Jesus that saves and not thorough any human law. The Jewish law is a curse, but the righteous is justified by faith.  Jesus became a curse by being hung on a tree (cross) to free us from the yoke of the Jewish law.  The Jewish law was given by God to organize the Jews from which the Messiah (Christ) would come ONLY, but now that the Christ has come, the righteous are merely justified by faith through God's Spirit, NEVER the law. The Jewish law was established 430 years after Abraham, but God's promise was to Abraham and his SEED (Christ), not seeds.  God's grace gave Abraham a promise based on faith and not inheritance of the law.  So the Jews are children of Moses' laws and NOT God's people or children based on the promise and covenant of faith through Abraham.
 

Galatians 4:

A child, who is heir, is like a slave under his father's authority until an appointed time to own the whole estate.  At the right time, God sent the Christ to be born and die under the law in order to resurrect and redeem us from the shackles of the meaningless laws that do not save.  Those who believe in the Christ by faith become children of God through the Spirit and are now heir of God.  We do not have to be a Jew or convert to Judaism to be God's children. It is a FREE gift to all who believe by faith like Abraham (Father of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism).  It is always good to be zealous, but for the right and godly reasons.  Hagar, mother of Ishmael, represents Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to slavery of Jerusalem, but Sarah, mother of Isaac- the promise, represents the free Jerusalem from above as prophesized by prophet Isaiah.  The slave woman and her child were pushed aside from the promise and inheritance of God.  The faithful in Christ, which is the promised SEED of God, are the promise and inheritance of God.
