Secret of Global Evangelism
By: Ehimwenma Aimiuwu
2007

I know Jesus said that Christians should preach his word to the end of the Earth, but it was not for political and economic gain.  Evangelism is teaching others the way of God through Christ for the betterment of the people and their society, and not teaching them the ways of God in an attempt to aid your government and companies to take over their resources.

From my experience, a whole lot of missionaries do not have a sound knowledge of the Bible or the actual purpose of Jesus’ teachings.  A lot of so called “Christian schools” send their students amass to developing countries to teach the people about the salvation of Christ that they too do not understand.  From dialoging with these crusaders for Christ, it has come to my observation that many of them know certain empty scriptures that sound nonsensical by itself if not utilized in the right concept of Biblical teachings.  The big question is:  Why must you evangelize at all if the word is clearly not within you?

There is a popular American saying that “if you can not baffle them with brilliance, then dazzle them with bullshit”.  This is the exact reason for most of the modern evangelism we see in the world today and we still wonder why Islam is the world’s fastest growing religion.  Many go to poor third world countries where people are ready to sell the children for a chocolate bar, with food on one hand, the Bible on the other hand, and their mouth exactly where God had placed it.  We already know that hunger is a weapon and the ear is always ready to listen to the one that puts food in the mouth, as long as the mouth and ear share the same head.  After going pass this process diligently, they let their mouth do the purpose of their “evangelism”.

After talking about the introduction, which is about a Jesus they neither know nor understand, they talk about His love for humanity, how He died for their sin (not the evangelist), how he resurrected on the third day and sat on the right side of the father, and how he will take them to Heaven some day if they believe him and get baptized.  Then, their mouth goes to the real deal.  They teach the locals how great their country is, their technological advancement, the beauty and benefit of their language, songs, and culture, and also their mass produced good and services, which must include food and medicine.  At the end of their evangelism, the government and the companies of their country of origins now has a huge consumer base that loves Jesus more than Jesus loved Himself.  Can you disobey the one God sent to you with food in his hand? After all, the rule is, “ Go yea forth to the ends of the earth and bring me consumers with the good book or your ministry will no longer get funds or will no longer be tax exempt”  Amen.
