Huck Finn Censored: A Need for Obama and Holder

Yahoo news says that Mark Twain's "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn", the great American novel which was first published in 1884, will be modified to change the word Nigger to Slave.   A Nigger in America is a Black person who is supposed to be ignorant, contemptible, inferior, and therefore must have no social, political, and economic relevance.  It is this condition of irrelevance that makes a Nigger become a Slave because he then has to be owned and dominated by another in order to work for sustenance.  Mark Twain was against racism and his intention was to turn people against racism and the word Nigger.  By removing the word now, it takes away from the effect he wanted for his readers.

Since Obama became President of America and has accomplished far more than any other President in a short time, many young college Whites are beginning to question their parent’s beliefs about being Black.  It has now become obvious that if Blacks are allowed to be relevant, instead of being oppressed or marginalized, they can actually do great things for their community and nation.  Since the book is read in most grade schools and colleges, Slave appears to be a softer word than Nigger, because it simply means a Black person that is owned and works for another.

If the word Nigger needs to be updated to make school books become more enjoyable to the new Obama generation, then it is imperative for President Obama and Attorney General Holder to also update the same word in all federal, state, county, and city laws to make the American law more enjoyable for all races.   In so doing, Mark Twain would have won in death his battle against racism by updating oppressive American laws that enhances racism socially, economically, and politically.
