During slavery
and colonization, the African peoples of the world were taught with the aid of
the Bible to hate wealth. They were instructed to focus on God for all their
provisions and take care of the poor. Since God was a White man “Jesus” on the
wall and they had to run away from wealth, it did not take long to realize that
they were the poor and that the White man and
Europe will take care of them. This led to the
culture of total reliance on “god’ and the consumers of European products.
Till this day,
despite all the natural and human resources in Africa,
Caribbean, and Black America, we are still not
producing or manufacturing much. Many African countries still do not produce
their own electricity or water supply despite all the engineers that they have.
Yet,
Europe still uses African resources to drive
their economy. What then is going on? Peoples of
Africa are still suffering from the hatred of
wealth and production. They still rely extremely on the heavenly God, White
Jesus, and
Europe.
It is because
majority of the masses do not want to produce that they allow visionless leaders
to rule them. Those who are wise and bold enough to challenge the spirit of
lack and unproductively, are condemned by the doomed majority as greedy,
controversial, shady, and are demonized. They are even robbed, killed, and
ruined by their own. It is because they do not know how to produce or do not
want to produce that they hinder the productive ones. They are happy if their
children are doing it because they will benefit directly, but not any one else.
Even when a
producer appears to be succeeding, his people will even encourage others,
sometimes with the help of an authoritative visionless leader, not to support or
buy his produce. They all will sit down to watch and joke about how they will
soon see him fail. The Black producers fail because his people do not by his
produce. If his produce is not needed, why is he producing it? If you do not
want to buy, why are you importing the same produce from
Europe?
When a stubborn
producer breaks through and decided to give back to his people and community,
the receivers are always in the business of not saying thank you. You see
“thank you” is a spiritual word that encourages the producer to give more and
teaches others to become producers. The receivers aim of refusing to say thanks
you could be as a result of poor upbringing, but it is usually a systematic way
to discourage a producer after success. Among many peoples of African descent,
when a producer succeeds and gives, the receivers quickly deviates the gratitude
to someone else in order to rob him of his honor and belittle him. Some will
say that the given gift came from God. They will even reason aloud that since
God blessed him, he has no choice but to bless others. Others will say thanks
to the parents for training and educating him, with or without the presence of
the parents. Many will say that you are one of them, so you are expected to do
what you did.
The ultimate question
becomes is the giver the only one God blessed, the only one trained by his
parents, or the only one that has relatives or a hometown? They refuse to
accept that he has set himself apart to give because he has trained himself to
become a producer that the rest failed to become. This evil attitude is what
makes the rich richer and the poor poorer. The giver may never give again or
give to a different group of people who will appreciate him. This new receivers
may not even be his own people. Ultimately, his people will loss, because the
giver may never come back and the rest of the potential producers among them may
never produce or produce as much. So the culture of lack and ingratitude is the
multiplication of poverty. |
