EVA! THE NEW EDOS GENERAL LANGUAGE

Parents, Brothers and sisters, friends and well wishers of the Edos communities world-wide; we have today began the long march towards the unification of the Edo-nation world wide with the evolution of a general language for the Edoid; and, here we go with the first sets of words:

Edos general Language ............English

koyo hello bo dia he? ...............how is it/how are you?
o dia ese ..................................it is fine/it is good
wa dooh ..................................greetings to you all
eeh ..........................................greetings accepted
bo kia .....................................welcome

Sources of dialectes evolved:

koyo: .......... Edo (Bini)
bo dia he? ..... Esan/Edo
wa dooh ........ Edi (Bini)/Esan/Urhobo
eeh ............ general
bo kia ......... Etsako/Esan/Edo .

Perhaps you may wish to know that the Guosa Language began with a pair of words from Igbo and Edo in 1964/65; and in 1965, the Yoruba language was added at the Sandgrous market on Lewis Street, Lagos. Thereafter, the Hausa languages were thrilled and entertained in the all fast evolving Guosa.   Today, the Guosa language has got more than 100 different Nigerian languages and dialects with relevant linguistic rules for spreading to other languages groups not yet covered, depending on support from the Government and people of Nigeria.

In addition, there is a draft dictionary of vocabularies with a giant collection of more than 30,000 head words and phrases; the largest collection of indigenous words ever recorded other than the English language and some few others.

However, the new Edos central language; beter still call it the Edos lingua franca if you like, is very fortunate that I have been able to commence with about four different languages and dialects. Therefore, with a good support and backing, there is no doubt that doubting Thomases and the impossible minds will soon turn themselves into implement of success.

Moral and research assistance support needed!
