My elder’s fathers
Once told me of an ancient visitor
That was completely above the laws of men.
Some took him for what he was
But others feared him.
He is a visitor everyone was born to meet
No matter the route of life you chose to take.
You never move on until he embraces you.
He respects no one -not even kings.
He is always at wars eager to hug somebody.
He rejoices at the slightest violence.
He lives almost everywhere -even in the womb.
He breaks hearts without apology.
He visits without the slightest notice.
It was meant to signify the end
Of mortal life after birth.
But these days,
It also helps signify the end
Of life before birth.
This unwanted ancient visitor Is called DEATH.
