1 Samuel 9:
Saul went looking for his family’s lost donkeys and that is what led him to Prophet Samuel. God has already told Samuel that he will send him a man from Benjamin to be placed as Israel’s king. Sometimes, it is your reaction to the pain or loss in your life that leads you to your glory. Saul went out looking for mere donkeys that he never found, but God’s goal was to lead him to a higher anointing of Kingship. When things do not go well in your life, create and pursue a respectable plan B. It was the solution to lost donkeys, debts, or refinancing that led to his greatness.
1 Samuel 10:
So far, after Israel settled in the promise land, it seems the Benjaminites are the most active and most dominant characters in the Bible. Saul, a Benjaminite is chosen by God to the the King of Israel by casting lots from among all the people. Your calling shall be a special one. Serve God only.
1 Samuel 11:
God was with Saul and he defeated the Ammonites. Israel was renewed and he was actually crowned the King of Israel after the victory and none in the land doubted his leadership anointing. No one shall doubt your excellence and abilities when you are representing God in your daily task and activities.
1 Samuel 12:
Samuel was blameless before God and mankind. None from his people could find fault, lies, deceit, discrimination, or wrongdoing in him. Prophet Samuel served Israel from the time he was born to old age and commanded Israel to always and only worship God based on all the good things he had done for them since the time of slavery in Egypt. Always hold on to God.
