 Luke 12:

Jesus called the Pharisees hypocrites and warned his disciples to beware of them. He emphasized that all hidden will be exposed in time, even whispers or deeds in the dark. Do not fear powerful humans that merely harm the body, but fear God that can destroy both the body and throw your soul in hell. God even cares and accounts for the sparrows. Those who represent Jesus publicly will be represented by Jesus before angels to God, but those who do not will not be represented by Jesus. Those who speak against Jesus can be forgiven, but not against the Holy Spirit. Never worry about what to say before human authority because the Holy Spirit will teach you what to say at the time. Jesus says greed and wealth as no significance to a man’s life. Jesus said a rich man once had so much stored for years of pleasure, so he planned to build huge storage for his wealth for a lifetime, but that night, God took his life. Wealth is meaningless, but rather, live for God. Jesus said do not worry about your life, food, body, or clothes because God will take care of all that, like he does for even birds and plants, as long as you dedicate yourself to God. Jesus wants us to share what we have with the poor – create good jobs and opportunities. Be watchful and wait on God for no one knows when Jesus will return. Jesus will bring division on the world and to families.

Luke 13:

Jesus says all without repentance and acceptance of God will perish regardless of how they die physically. Even a tree is given a chance to grow fruits or be cut down forever. Jesus healed a woman that was crippled by evil spirit for 18 years on a Sabbath, but the synagogue ruler wanted people to come for healing on the other six days of work. Jesus called him a hypocrite because they give their flock water on a Sabbath.  You can do work on a Sabbath, but not for money or income. Jesus says that God’s kingdom is like a mustard seed and yeast that are little, but become mighty. Jesus said only a remnant will be saved through the narrow door. Gentiles will come to take the place in God’s kingdom with all God’s prophets, but many of the Jews will be left out. The Pharisees warned Jesus to leave Jerusalem because King Herod was trying to kill him, but he refused and said he will be here for 3 more days to achieve his goal because all prophets die in Jerusalem.

Luke 14:

Jesus healed a man on the Sabbath in a Pharisee’s house. Jesus says take the lower seats at a banquet and be invited to come up to avoid humiliation. The humble shall the exalted and Jesus wants us to have feasts for the poor and needy, not just affluent friends and family. Jesus said that you cannot be his disciples unless you hate your life and family. Jesus instructs that we analyze each task carefully before we start it because you do not want to start a project that you cannot finish. Jesus’ disciples must be prepared to give up any and everything to follow Jesus.

The book is meant for people who are hopeful but seem not to have yet found their purpose on earth. This book will help enable people and communities to progress with a peace of mind towards their destiny.
