How do you know that you are filled with the Holy Spirit or Spirit of God?
After you have accepted Jesus into your life as your personal savior and messiah, the joy of becoming a new person or being takes over you. You tend to want to know more about God and spend more time with God by reading the Bible and getting more explanation from other Children of God. Eventually, you will be consumed by or baptized by fire. (Acts 2)
What is the Holy Spirit or God’s Spirit?
It is a very powerful and forceful fire. It is either seen in private during meditation or public by all around. After your baptism of the Holy Spirit or God’s Spirit by fire through Jesus, people around you will testify to your difference in appearance or behavior within minutes or after they first notice the difference. You will also notice the difference because you are no longer the same. You will lose interest in many worldly and irrelevant things and start focusing on what is important – getting closer to God. (Acts 9)
How do you get the Holy Spirit or Spirit of God?
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and Jesus is the physical representation of God. The spirit is usually more important and stronger than the body. Jesus was with humanity for over 30 years, but God’s Spirit is going to be with humanity forever. Even Jesus said that there is nothing he can do without the Holy Spirit and blaspheming against the Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven. To know and follow Jesus is to first have the Spirit of God through Jesus, and to have the Spirit of God is to first be chosen by God to be a Child of God.
